Special Choir

The Special Choir at St. Joseph’s School - Yorkville is made up of a talented and dedicated group of musicians from Grades 5-8. These singers work at an advanced level and perform throughout our school year. In addition to offering at school concerts, our special choir is invited to perform throughout the community and our diocese. We were thrilled to provide music for the Mass at the Religion Conference Day at the Westchester Convention Center in the past. Thirty-five hundred Catholic school educators from throughout the Archdiocese of New York were in attendance with His Eminence Timothy M. Cardinal Dolan presiding. There are many schools in the Archdiocese of New York, and it was not only a great honor, but a testament to the children’s excellence that we were selected. The students performed music that was faith-filled, uplifting, and beautiful. His Eminence told the children, “Well done!” We agree—well done!  Throughout the school year our Special Choir visits nursing homes and children’s centers to bring joy to those in attendance. They are a group dedicated to making beautiful music and sharing gifts with the community.
